Simply Satisfying
THE POWER OF MAGNETS
To achieve a clean, organized garage, I was looking for a sleek mounting solution for the OG Mosmatic sprayer, but nothing really hit the mark for me personally. So, I took matters into my own hands and decided to create the solution myself. After going through several 3D models and a couple of production prototypes, I finally landed on what we're calling the Obsessed Garage Magnetic Mosmatic Mount. This is designed to work with all Mosmatic Sprayers (Original & OG Spec) we sell.
One of the best things about working at Obsessed Garage is that when you come across a problem, you're given the freedom to create the fix. That's exactly what this mount is—a simple solution to a problem I knew existed for me, and maybe something others didn’t realize until just now. I hope you find it as useful, satisfying, and cool as I do. Thanks for checking it out! —Bryce.
Magnets? How do they work
HOW THIS THING WORKS
A simple breakdown of how we made this work: we embedded high-power magnets into the Mosmatic sprayer, and the mount uses the same type of magnets, but with opposite poles. This creates a strong magnetic connection between the sprayer and the mount.
The mount has a 1" spacing between the mounting hole and the swivel slot, allowing you to attach it to any pegboard using your own supplied hardware. You get 2 stainless screw in the package for mount to a wall.
To securely attach the magnets to the sprayer, we designed custom screws that replace the original screws in the Mosmatic Sprayer body. These screws are specifically made to hold the magnets in place.
The mount is designed with a positive lock on the sprayer and mount, meaning it can easily support the weight of both the sprayer and the wand. This is possible because the system isn't relying on magnets to resist shear force—only tensile force—ensuring a strong, stable connection.
LEARN MORE ABOUT ASSEMBLY
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
It's crucial to assemble this mount properly—doing it wrong could lead to issues. Also, keep in mind that the version of the Mosmatic sprayer you have matters, as the molds have changed over the years.
Mosmatic Sprayer Compatibility:
If you have an older mold Mosmatic sprayer, sprayer identification documented HERE, you’ll need to use the included 1mm plastic spacer under the new top-right sprayer screw. This ensures that all the magnets sit level on the sprayer.
Tools You’ll Need:
- 1.27mm Hex Key – For installing the magnets onto the new sprayer screws.
- PH2 Screwdriver – For removing the stock Mosmatic sprayer screws and attaching the mount to your wall or pegboard.
- Flat Blade Screwdriver – For installing the new screws into the Mosmatic sprayer body.
