Locking Extension Cords 

I discovered these extension cords when I was in California doing the Jay Leno's Garage detail cart and while visiting Meguiar's for some product education. A fan and now friend Michael from Milspec Ind. showed up at the Meguiar's open house with this extension cord to pitch me on them & I must say, they're awesome. 

These are a 12/3 AWG locking extension cord, each conductor contains 65 strands of 30AWG 100% copper wire. The plug locks when a standard U-Ground 15A-125V plug is inserted and will hold up to 80 lbs of pull resistance. To unlock your cable, simply pull back on the blue-collar and remove your plug. The locks are made of high-impact polycarbonate, they can take a beating & they won't shatter. When I first saw the wire jacket on the cord I instantly thought it wouldn't be very flexible since it's shiny PVC, I was wrong. The jacket is a specialized PVC that will keep flexibility until -58F (-50C).

Another neat feature is the CGM "Continuous Ground Monitoring" system.  This system is always monitoring ground continuity for your safety, this is the green light you will see illuminated on the Pro-Lock connector. You also get another light when you plug in the cord, an amber power check light illuminates on the male plug end to let you know power is running through the cord.

These cords are UL, cUL & OSHA certified.
