The Advanced Dynaudio Studio Monitor Package is probably my favorite, most attainable package for the garage. The LYD 48 studio monitors we’re offering in this solution were the first pair of speakers I ventured into when doing audio in my garage. It may sound kind of peculiar to some putting expensive speakers in a harsh environment like your garage, but I’m telling you, it works.

I have a real affinity for this setup, especially when adding in a subwoofer, which makes this kit complete. If you want a subwoofer in your setup, head over to the Advanced Dynaudio Studio Monitor Solution. Before you get too deep into this and start building out your package, I’d highly suggest you check out some of our individual videos where I go into more detail about each component in this solution. I’ve talked about the Dynaudio LYD Studio Monitors, Dynaudio Core Studio Monitors, Dynaudio Evokes, and Dynaudio Emits. I want you to be an informed buyer, so take some time to watch those before deciding on what you want here.

When you’re ready to build out your solution, there are a few steps you need to take. I’ve spent hours upon hours building this thing out in my head so you wouldn’t have to. I promise you it’s a simple step-by-step process to follow.

The first thing you want to do is select your speaker. You’ll have the option to do LYD 5’s, LYD 8’s, or LYD 48’s. LYD 5’s are hands down going to be your desk speakers. I have these in three different locations. 1) My office in the Yarn building 2) My office at OGHQ 3) My home. If that doesn’t tell you how much I love these things for a desk setup, I don’t know what does. In your garage, I’d suggest you skip over the LYD’s 5’s and get the 8’s

The second thing you want to do is select your source component. The amplifier is built into the speaker, so you only need to add a Bluesound node (preamp/player) to the mix; unless you want Dirac room correction, you will choose the NAD C658

If you want the best sound, you’ll select the C658. It will cost you, but it will be the best audio experience you’ll have with this package.

When you hear me talk about a player, I’m referring to the source component (the node or C658) becoming your player for Tidal, Spotify, and Apple Music. Both the node and the C658 become your input device if you connect your audio return channel from your TV and connect a subwoofer to it.

If you watch the video at the bottom of this description, I detail how to set this all up. You’ll be up and running within a matter of minutes. Depending on your selection, we will send you the appropriate cables you’ll need to set this up successfully. An example of that would be, you decide you want to go with the LYD 8’s and a node - in that package, we’d send you a pair of Monoprice Premier Series XLR Male to RCA Male cables with a pair of 25’ Monoprice XLR cable. You’d also have your power cables that come with the speakers.

If you decide you want to wall mount your LYD’s you can. We’ll have an option for you to select the Dynaudio LYD On-Wall Brackets.

The last add-on you can do is video. This option will be a separate add-on on the site. With this option, we’re doing the Metra Ethereal HDMI High Speed Cables, which I’ve been using for a while now, and they are really great. I explain how to set this video add-on option up with a node or a C658 in our advanced studio monitor solution segment.

What will be your last step is setting up the BlueOS. This is your controller for your source component (amp/preamp). It’s super easy to set up. It took me roughly 7-minutes to set mine up, and that was because of firmware updates.

I’ve made this solution buying process as simple as I could. 1) Pick your speaker and color 2) Pick your source component and color (I like white)

I think offering this will remove all frustrations and mistakes. You click, then you buy. Easy.
